Naturally dense and stable, this oily rosewood is found in Central America. The rosewood family (Dalbergia) is highly sought after, unfortunately to the point of near decimation of naturally growing rosewood. As such, CITES regulations have mandated cessation of harvesting live rosewood, the only way to source rosewood is recovery.
