Beads are carefully wrapped with silver and earring hooks are also silver

I suspect it must be of Virgin Mary

The blackest of black beads are rare 1940s vintage Murano glass from Venice. Hooks and rings are 18K gold plated steel, skin safe and durable. Full length of earrings with hook is 9cm. Very limited availability in this colourway.
