She's seated in front of a curtain backdrop, at small table with an object on it.. looks like it's probably a book, but it's odd because if so it's standing on end. Under magnification it looks like there is *possibly* writing, so maybe it's one of those dated signs? Just a guess however, when I look at the book sign
