The 244 seems less prone to breaking
The rubber used is made especially for me and not the moulded type that I see for sale ( you can spot the mould numbers on some)
The arm however is a common one used throughout the early Teac and does wear so get asked for it
I have heard of these going wrong probably from dodgy switches as not much else here
