These motors were both spinning ok and I have just removed them from a machine

it was from a working machine that I had to part out as needed some bits for mine

as a rule tascam used the same size pulleys though some larger ones are seen in the small home units

Removed from a working unit This was from the B16 but I am not certain if it would have neen used in other models as this was onlt the audio input output board and connctions to the heads

Fostex R8 replacement metal reel pulley gear cog Image is of right bandThere are still thousands of Fostex R8,s out there I am surprised by how many of these machines they sold but for trying music out at home or away they was very popular simply because of their portability The reel cogs Gears go on them all the time as are just pressed plastic, this is because of use ,or more often ,old sticky tape or people using the thicker studio tape which the machine was not designed for, many of these machine have been dumped
