Antique Occupational Photo ID'd Fraternal Fireman Railroad Firemen & Enginemen pope the one by his headOriginal cabinet card showing a fireman in uniform. On the back, it is signed: From Brother George ConklinTo Brother Edwin Tallmadge. In very light pencil, there's also a date: September 1, 1887. The use of the word "brother" would indicate they were members of a fraternal order. I did find a George Conklin and Edwin Tallmadge listed as members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen, which was a mutual benefit society for workers
