He is not identified, but I would say he was probably a sea captain. Image is a bit light, though better at some angles. I can't tell if it's just a light image or if the plate is slightly foggy but I haven't tried to clean it in any way. There are small mold spiders throughout the image basically any tan colored spot you see is a mold
