It was built in 1851 by William Mackenzie and by the 1860s was being serviced by the Strathspey railway. The company now specializes in Cask Finish, Single Cask & Small Batch releases which are bottled at natural colour, without chill filtering and in very limited quantities (total outturn: 754 bottles
