Antique Victorian cape ivory silk with lace trim Civil War era hat flower Each buckle measures 2 1/4"LThis is a beautiful silk cape from the Civil War era . The cape is fashioned of a ribbed silk in a French vanilla coloring. The lace trim on this piece is a cotton and silk. The cape is in 2 circular tiers. The inner tier does have some shatter to the silk lining around the neckline edge and down the back. It would be fine to wear, as it does not show, but eventually this silk will need to be replaced. There is a silk faille bow at the neckline
